Use Reference from your agent

Your agent can search 221 videos and their prompts before it makes yours.

Claude Code

Install the plugin. It adds the MCP server and a skill that tells Claude to look for a reference whenever you ask for a video.

/plugin marketplace add tpavankalyan/reference
/plugin install reference@reference

Or add only the MCP server:

claude mcp add --transport http reference https://meetreference.com/mcp

Codex

codex mcp add reference --url https://meetreference.com/mcp

Or in ~/.codex/config.toml:

[mcp_servers.reference]
url = "https://meetreference.com/mcp"

For the skill too, copy skill.md to ~/.codex/skills/reference/SKILL.md.

Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI, and other clients

gemini mcp add --transport http reference https://meetreference.com/mcp

Anything else that supports remote MCP servers, including Claude.ai and Claude Desktop (Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector): use https://meetreference.com/mcp. No key or sign-in.

Search API

The same search the site uses: words, meaning, and look, fused. Free and keyless; please keep it under a few requests a second. Filters: cat, built, with, format, length, oneshot=1, full=1.

Using prompts fairly

Prompts are the creators' own words, published as they wrote them. Use them to make your own videos, credit the creator when you share one, and link the original post. A prompt marked partial or paraphrased isn't the complete original. Results vary between runs and models.
