Orbit 3D, a CSS animation to rebuild
A looping CSS animation by alphardex in which a white dot travels a 3D orbit. It's one of 1,069 web animations in UC Berkeley's Animation2Code benchmark, where a model watches the video and writes code to reproduce it.

Why it's hard
Getting the look right is the easy part; the motion is what models miss. On this animation, Claude Sonnet 4.6 scored 0.96 for appearance but 0.17 for motion, and GPT-5.4 scored 0.92 and 0.19. Gemini 3 Flash came closest on motion, at 0.80.
