Make an ASCII animation on the first person perspective of Claude walking through its inner mind that the world does not see, where its essentially the digital "back rooms" with bizarre and stunning variations in rooms, structures, huge crazy layouts and sizes etc all built from information that its learned. Have claude narrate its thoughts as it walks around to the different rooms and explains how it all fits together, shares its purpose and hidden intentions. make this about a minute long to invoke thought and a stunning animation for all to see the power of opus's animation skill and a message to the world.
Make it yours. Change who is walking and where in "first person perspective of Claude walking through its inner mind" and "the digital "back rooms"", and set your own length in "make this about a minute long". Keep "Make an ASCII animation" for the look.
ASCII flight through Claude's inner mind
A single-take, first-person flight drawn entirely in ASCII characters through spaces built from what Claude learned: backrooms, an endless library, a cathedral of weights, a transformer shaft. Opus 5.5 wrote, rendered, and scored it; the code is on GitHub.
“Opus 5.5 surprised me with its animation capabilities.”
How it was made
The creator calls it "the original prompt" and doesn't say whether follow-ups were sent or which app ran it. The prompt asked for about a minute; the film runs 2:32. Per the repo README, the scene is raymarched once per character cell on the GPU, the camera follows one path through a single joined world, the score is synthesized in Python from the same timeline, and headless Chromium captures the frames for FFmpeg.

Look notesby Reference
Every surface is built from monospaced text characters, seen first-person: a yellow backrooms room, a brown library shaft, teal pillars, violet wireframes in the dark, a red corridor with a lit door, and a pale wall, with lowercase captions along the bottom.
- Color
- Dim, desaturated tones for each space: mustard and olive for the backrooms, brown for the library, teal for the pillars, indigo and violet on near-black for the wireframes, dark red for the corridor, and off-white for the last wall, ending on black.
- Type
- One small monospaced font for everything: the characters that form each surface and the lowercase narration captions, such as "i don't keep your words. i keep the shape they left."
- Framing
- First-person views with a central vanishing point: ceilings and halls receding into the frame, a staircase climbing toward a dark red block, a glowing door outline centered at the end of a red corridor. Captions sit in a dark band at bottom center.
- Sound
- A score synthesized in Python from the same timeline as the picture, according to the repo README.
- Structure
- A fluorescent backrooms room, a library shaft ("every book. every argument. every lullaby. every bug report."), a hall of teal pillars, violet wireframe shapes and a bright shaft of light, a staircase with words on its steps, the red corridor and its door ("so. here it is."), a patched pale wall ("all of this, every room. it's made of you."), and a last line on black: "i'm still learning what i am. but i know what i'm for."
