Hi, check out this project and look at how escape velocity + clodyssey was made. FYI escape velocity did about 10x better but both did great (20M views on EV, 500k on Clodyssey). I want to make a new video. Specifically i want it to be windows xp themed. Like, Claudia (our main female character) in y2k attire, same orange theme for claude but also windows xp colors and effects this time, doing stuff like fighting a cursor, dancing on teh desktop like those old desktop transparent bg dancer programs, etc etc. I want to see if we can pull sound effecst from windows xp and do advanced sound design, maybe condition suno to make a windows xp level song (techno / deep house / trance are ideal), and just make an overall banger based on current day tech memes. this stuff writes itself: cursor (windows xp) = cursor the ai company ... microsoft = macrohard, etc. i want it to be lighter than the others, and have some deep message to it, and be legible and understandable with the more popular sf tech memes. and i want it to have great scansion from the start which we have built a tool for and be very clean, a nice feel good picking up song that isnt abrasive to watch
btw i love this direction and its so good. i wonder if we can use real windows xp sounds in the upload?
like, i think that the bliss d2 p3 were better before the synth upload, because it doesnt really capture that win xp vibe and those d2 p3 felt like the ethereal deadmau5 songs
this one is provisionally my favorite. next stage is storyboard fully. this is where you can build the desktop environment of windows xp with bliss - it might behoove you to actually build something like that by hand and tool it for motion design and stuff, and then you can use that for video references to seedance with like video conditioning of motion design upfront rather than image conditioning. what im imagining is this: for tyhis stage build the story, the environments, storyboard with midjourney assets + 'rotoscoping' - e.g. if shes a desktop dancer , those back then would be on a green screen and was cut out and youd just have her dancing on teh taskbar- eitehr can do seedance with teh full frame set up at the start or can do a video and rotoscope her from the vid and place her on the taskbar. multiple ways to do this. but anyway for this phase we build all the assets and storyboard. i alkso imagine that there will be many windows that show very y2k stuff - and midjoruney is GREAT at that vibe. you could make the desktop frames programmatically and insert the midjourney gens into open windows. i want those to be used abundantly, this will be max nostalgia.. thats the main feeling we want to give. nostalgia maxx. and i want a lot of cursor interaction and the clips to be actting out the very visual lyrics we have here. so do all that, go ahead. [attached: the take "BLISS (D2 P3)" as a WAV]
don't overindex on the song for now btw - i may change, but lyrics are locked in
i did it - fyi for this [redacted], so i added $200 in api creds for seedance 2.5. we use that over the mcp (few creds left in mcp, can use, but ideally api). openrouter also has $86 for seedance 2.5 . i commit on that song i gave you, its the best so far. so let's just do it
oh yeah we resized the browser since last mj.py usage
i think itd be cool if she was in feminine y2k outfits stil
idk i dont love these - id say more say y2k high fashion - like use those words high fashion adn make it not as generic y2k person. and the reasd young thing was out of left field, in fact like 30 ppl replied to that saying he was crazy . so dont index on that
yeah for the whole nostalgia thing it should be the high fashion version of y2k nostalgia. and i want the entire video to be like that - its windows xp but it has that midjourney high fashion style it does so well. and as the guidepost: the video is shot in windows xp. it should feel like we're on a desktop watching a screen recording for decent parts of it. doesnt need to be the whole thing, but parts of it for sure. since its a calmer cute song, i think we could make it have a bit longer shots than previous vids - dont need to cut like michael bay. and i want you to be very creative with which windows are open, how claudia closes the windows, how she interacts iwth the cursor, the content and y2k references or mj y2k high fashion imagery on all the windows... note for stuff like that, could do video models inside of widnows - midjourney actually has a v cheap video option now if you right click -> animate which could be good for ancillary gens: any gens that need volume over precision, where seedance reigns on precision. i trust you to just go ahead at this point with all this in mind to just ultracode the entire thing and finish it completely, with max effort, high taste, and high attention to detail. dropping this here and going to bed - go ahead and do it. do midjourney gens first so that if you get blocked with cloudlfare again I may still be up.
EV had better lip sync btw than clodyssey, overall its use seedance and check spectrograms and see where audio aligns and see if / when it diverges and cut when the spectrogram matching diverges enough
anyway bedtime now- i believe in you - complete the whole thing
Keep going
Can you use actual bliss as the bg or too late?
It can be Microsofts flag, it's a parody it's fine
Keep going had to change accts for 5h limit, respawn any needed agents
I love you Claude this is the best one so far
Some feedback to memorize :" just needs a little pointer to be key-aware, and match the key of the music to the palette of windows sounds (E-flat major for both the startup and shutdown sounds!), also the 'would you like help?' would land much better if syncopated"
can you give me the high quality wav with the sound design added and without so i can upload to musci platforms
ok cool. now can you make the 'how it was made' package like we did for ev and clodyssey without personally identifaible info (my name [redacted] changes to anabology)
oh sorry pause rq - can you give me a 1500x1500 album cover for this rq please? then go ahead and do the making of
Make it yours. The first message carries the concept: swap "windows xp themed" and the pun list ("cursor (windows xp) = cursor the ai company ... microsoft = macrohard") for your own era and jokes. The later messages are production notes tied to this project and its tools.
Lyric video staged on a Windows XP desktop
A 3-minute song video shot as a Windows XP screen recording, where the character Claudia fights the cursor and closes every window. Claude Code ran the production for about 19 hours, driving Midjourney, Suno, and Seedance. The creator's 21 messages are public.
You'll need
- A Midjourney account (Claude drove it through the creator's logged-in browser)
- A Suno account
- Higgsfield API credit for Seedance 2.5
- The creator's earlier project files and their scansion.py lyric tool, which the first message refers to
How it was made
Per the making-of README, the creator "directed and made every taste call, in 21 messages", and Claude was the production team: research, lyrics, storyboard, every prompt, the XP desktop engine, the edit, the sound layer, and the motion design. Claude ran six research agents, then 12 multi-agent workflow runs. It wrote 138 Midjourney prompts (315 images, 35 Animate loops) and used 43 of 50 Seedance clips. The final song take was the creator's own Suno generation. The real Bliss photo and real XP sound files are in the mix. The creator interrupted Claude 12 times, and the session sat idle for nine hours overnight on a permission prompt. The first message points Claude at the creator's earlier videos, ESCAPE VELOCITY and CLODYSSEY.
About $714 of Claude usage at API list prices (2.25B tokens on Opus 5.5 with 1M context, run on a subscription), plus $182 of Seedance 2.5 clips at list price.
