let's see what you can do with the script, the animation, the sound design and the edit. Pixel art, a first-person block world, cartoon, kawaii, stop motion and 3D.
Make it yours. Swap the list of worlds ("Pixel art, a first-person block world, cartoon, kawaii, stop motion and 3D") for your own styles. The first clause hands over four jobs ("the script, the animation, the sound design and the edit"); drop any you want to do yourself.
Code-drawn character in six art styles
A 7-minute narrated film that explains how video can be code while a code-drawn caricature of the author travels through pixel art, a block world, cartoon, kawaii, cut paper, and 3D. Claude Code wrote every scene, the music, and the edit.
“My job was the brief, and a yes or no at each stage.”
You'll need
- HyperFrames (npx hyperframes) to render the scene pages to video
- Optional: an ElevenLabs voice for the narration
How it was made
One brief, then the author approved each stage before Claude went on; the build ran across many sessions and the code was never edited by hand. Each scene is a web page captured by HyperFrames at 30 fps, 12,390 frames in all. Music and effects are synthesized in code with no sample library, and the edit is timed from the narration script. The narration is the author's ElevenLabs voice clone. Of 52 logged issues, Claude caught and fixed 47; the 5 the author caught were all about sound or pacing. The brief names stop motion, but the finished fifth world is cut paper.

A narrated making-of that alternates dark explainer cards with six styled worlds, all starring a small cartoon man with orange spiky hair and a black sweater.
- Color
- Charcoal cards with off-white and orange type. The worlds range from paper-craft pastels and a purple-sunset pixel city to bright green blocks, a sky-blue cartoon meadow, and a magenta 3D dusk.
- Type
- A bold sans for card headlines (It checks its work in stills., The edit is a text file., The list.), small spaced capitals for labels, white captions centered low on every frame, and a pixel font for the game HUD (KURT ×3, BUGS 03, WORLD 1-1).
- Framing
- The character stands in the center or lower third of each world. Explainer cards are flat diagrams on dark backgrounds, such as a four-box loop and a three-track timeline.
- Sound
- Narration in the author's ElevenLabs voice clone, with music and effects synthesized in code, according to the author.
- Structure
- A paper-craft opening, a card on how Claude checks its work in stills, the pixel-art city with a game HUD, the first-person block world, the cartoon meadow, a chapter card for cut paper, the 3D world with the character on a rocket, a card showing the edit as a text-file timeline, then the scorecard: 47 caught by Claude, 5 caught by Kurt.
